For such a tiny island Malta has a lot of fleshpots, including the nightclub-esque AO-Clubs at St Paul’s Bay and Paceville. They are both apparently “where good taste meets good fun”, and the dress code is strictly smart-casual. Handshakes are allowed. Touching is not.

Billing itself as a cabaret and lap-dancing club, this basement bar lacks the grand entrance of some of its rivals, but features girls from all over the world. And that includes Wales.

That looks a bit like a vintage shot of Mariah Carey on their website, but we’re pretty sure the diva isn’t moonlighting here. Instead, we get a bevy of local ladies and the chance to eat like a king in the Femina restaurant. And if nothing’s to your taste there are four more similar spots in town.

Life is a large venue on two floors, with three bars, a VIP room and the capacity to hold up to 500 randy blokes, sorry, adventurous young couples. Because that’s who go to strip clubs. Honest.
