Our delectable June calendar girl could only be Magdalena Wojcik from Poland, caught on camera here in her bikini with her suitcase on the tarmac. Of course, Magda, 25, usually only wears her bikini at the beach, which is just as well because she was born in the town of Gdynia on the Polish coast and adores beach holidays. Magda loves Poland and urges everyone to fly Ryanair and check out her favourite cities of Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw. And if you want to know the true value of buying Ryanair scratch cards on-board just ask Magda. “One handsome guy bought some scratch cards from me and when he handed over the cash he also handed over a romantic note, too. Now he’s my boyfriend,” she says. Sorry boys! Magda, thanks for being our June calendar star.

Czech Republic It’s said that one should never drink absinthe with a man from Prague. This is perhaps because of the way Czechstyle, or Bohemian, absinthe is served (hint: it’s on fire). First pour the measure of absinthe straight into the glass and swirl the sugar cube around. Put the sugar on an absinthe spoon and set it on fire. Once this has melted, stir the absinthe with the still-flaming spoon, causing it to catch fire. See? Blazing booze. Remember to put the fire out with cold water and wait for the “louche” (when the drink turns cloudy). It’s so popular you can give it a try at almost any bar in Prague.

- With the whole “take your shoes off” routine at airports these days I have found the best way to deal with it is to switch from street shoes to flannel-lined moccasins or some other soft, slip-on shoe.
