BY SUSI WEASER

Eee Box

The Eee PC laptop made quite a splash when it launched, thanks to its tiny price and use of Linux. Navigon 8110
Some sat-nav displays seem to bear no relation to what’s actually there on the road. Yet this one tries to make what you see on screen mimic the landscape, with the help of 3D imaging, local landmarks and geographical features.

AirDrives
While some headphones cancel out noise, these actually help you hear it. Designed for runners, cyclists, and anyone else who wants to be aware of their surroundings, they sit outside the ear and conduct sound through vibrations. While not as loud as regular styles of headphones, they’re probably a lot safer!

Radiopaq
Internet radio has opened up thousands of niche stations, from Icelandic country music to thrash metal from Barcelona. Yet this radio means you needn’t be tethered to your computer, as it uses Wifito stream it all to you. Best of all, if you pause a broadcast, you can pick it up at the same point from your desk, via the website.
