Keep it clean

Leave your new tattoo bandaged for the first four hours to avoid infection.
After four hours cleanse the area with soap and water.
Dry the tattoo area by gently patting it with a clean towel.
Lightly rub on a thin layer of antiseptic ointment, like Savlon.
After a few days, you may notice some peeling and possibly a little scabbing. This is normal.
Use an antibiotic cream for three to four days then switch to a fragrance-free lotion, like E45 cream,applying four times a day for three weeks.
For three weeks, avoid swimming and do not expose your tattoo to the sun.
