In what’s become an annual tradition, members of Ryanair cabin crew have once again posed for the now-legendary staff charity calendar, The Girls of Ryanair. It’s available to buy aboard your Ryanair flight today.

Our previous calendars have raised hundreds of thousands of euros for charity, and with the support of our passengers, the 2012 edition can do the same. So please let our staff know their pouting and posing wasn’t in vain, and buy a copy for €10 or £10 to help support Debra (www.debra.org. uk), which works on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin-blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

For the 2012 calendar the cabin crew members and a styling and photography team flew to one of our sunniest destinations, Lanzarote.

The team had a fantastic time on the shoot, with Hotel Vik San Antonio in Puerto del Carmen (www.vikholidays.com) providing the perfect base from which to explore the island. This supremely comfortable four- star is right on the seafront of Playa de los Pocillos in Puerto Del Carmen. Picking up some rental cars from Ryanair’s partners at Hertz made it easy to zip around, too.

Lanzarote has a spread of picture-perfect world-class beaches as well as a uniquely beautiful volcanic landscape, which has protected status as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve site. César Manrique, an architect and artist, established many of Lanzarote’s cultural attractions.

The team enjoyed checking out Los Jameos del Agua, a lava cave transformed by Manrique into a unique subterranean theatre and garden with pool. The crew also loved Playa de Papagayo, a beach set in a national park on the island’s south-east tip, and Formara beach which is great for kite-surfing.
