Daniel Buren's Columns

Daniel Buren's black and white columns (pictured) took a beating from critics in 1986 when they fi rst invaded the courtyard of the Palais Royal, and then the weather wore them down. After a careful restoration, they are once again crisp and clean and are lit in shades of blue at night.
