Despite being over 340 years old, this quirky inn, situated on the Gudenaen river, feels bang up-to-date. Decorated with humorous pictures and foodie proverbs, it's run by food personalities the Andersen family, and offers such delights as Wiener Schnitzel of Danish veal with sautéed potatoes, snap peas, pickles and gravy. There's a selection of open sandwiches and Danish beers, too, and they grow their own herbs, smoke their own meat and use fish from nearby Lake Tange.
